Prevent cervical cancer

Did you know that every two minutes, someone loses a loved one to cervical cancer? But did you also know that cervical cancer is preventable? With changes to our National Awareness and Screening programs, preventing cervical cancer has never been easier.

Women can protect themselves and prevent cervical cancer with more choices than ever before:

1. One dose of the HPV vaccine is free for all people aged between 12 and 25 year,  if you missed your chance at school age.

2. Cervical screening tests are now every five years

3. Women can choose a preferred Screening Method.

 - To have a doctor or nurse perform a cervical screening test OR

 - Women can talk with their doctor or nurse about choosing to Self-Collect a collect a sample.

Book an appointment with your GP today for a screening or click here learn more.
